Alejandro Estrada is Co-founder of WasteFuel and is a Colombian-American entrepreneur, ecologist, permaculturalist, conscious investor and marketing professional.
He has founded and invested in companies in Latin America in financial services, cosmetics, spirits, and hotels amongst others.
With over fifteen years of experience, Estrada held a number of positions within the financial sector. In 2006, he partnered with US family office, TBK Investments, headquartered in Miami, with over $ 1.2 Billion of offshore assets. In November 2007, the partnership sold the company to GenSpring Family Offices and Estrada assumed the role of Senior Vice President, with over US $1 Billion in assets under management from 2007-2012.
From 2000 to 2006, he was Senior Vice President at Guggenheim Partners, where Estrada and his team led the international expansion of the business throughout Latin America.
In 1999, Estrada Co-founded Fusion Networks (FUSN), one of the largest web-content companies in Latin America during this time. Spearheading the development from the ground up, he rapidly grew the business to over 700 employees and offices across 12 countries taking the company public in 2000.
Native in Spanish, English, and French, Estrada holds a BA from the Art Center College, Switzerland.
